Bill was a long time member of Team 800 and was in integral part of our radiological response and served as a radiological officer. Bill was also State Fire Academy Local Level Instructor

William J. Sekora Jr., 63, of Penn Township, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at his residence. He was born Feb. 1, 1958, in Greensburg, to William and Rachel (Smith) Sekora. Bill dedicated his life to public service. He was a paramedic with Jeannette EMS, Penn Township EMS and Monsour Hospital Paramedic Unit. He had served as the past Chief of Penn Township EMS, and was a former member of Grandview Volunteer Fire Department and Westmoreland County Hazmat Team 800. He was also a paramedic instructor for many years. In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his son, Matthew (Gretchen Kuhns) Stewart; sister, Cheryl (Dom) Fanell; and nephew, Jeremy Fanell and his daughter, Micaelah. He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Sekora, Sr. Friends will be received Thursday, October 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, PA 15636, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
